Heartwood Soundstage is a state-of-the-art recording studio, video production facility, intimate performance venue, and outdoor event space located on Main Street in Gainesville. It was built by musicians to be a place for music lovers and music makers. This space hosts many musical acts, benefit concerts, festivals, and more. 

GNV Market 

Location: Heartwood Soundstage 

When: Every Thursday, 5 p.m. – 8 p.m. 

Who doesn’t love a good market? The mission of the GNV Market is to offer a diverse and inclusive space in the Gainesville community where visitors can purchase nutritious and sustainably produced food and goods. When you shop the local vendors at this market, you’ll be serenaded by live music.  

Community Pop-Up Market

When: August 28, 2021, 12 p.m. – 5 p.m. 

The Florida Vintage Market offers traveling events where they host a Community Pop-Up Market. You can expect vintage clothing, sustainable fashion, streetwear, custom clothing, sneakers, and art at the Gainesville event. Plus, there will be plenty of food vendors and a beer garden! 

The AUK Market 

Location: 2031 NW 6th Street, Gainesville, FL 

When: Open daily from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., closed on Tuesdays

Lubee Bat Festival

Come celebrate bats like the rock stars that they are! Lubee Bat Conservancy is celebrating their 17th Annual Florida Bat Festival, with live performances, naturalist education, a tasty beer garden, and a chance to hang with bats. All proceeds go to conservation, and private tours can be arranged year round.

Downtown Festival & Art Show

When: November 6th and 7th, 2021, 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.
